Interview with Kristina Jackson, author of The Fool’s Journey


Hi everyone! Today, I have author and friend, Kristina Jackson with me on  the blog. She has graciously accepted to answer all my questions, even the dumb one. So, I’d like to dive right in.

Interview with author Kristina Jackson

Can you tell us about your book? What genre would you classify it into?

The Fool’s Journey is a book that takes you on a journey. It follows the path of a young woman trying to find herself and her true path. Along the way she meets friends, falls in love and discovers all is not what it seems. A mixture of ghost, witchcraft, tarot cards and humour. This book will have you laughing, crying and even perhaps feeling a little afraid in places. Best of all, it has a happy ending!

Amazon classifies my book as Horror / Occult. I would prefer to see a genre that is Paranormal / Happy ending.

I really did not know what I was getting into when I picked up this book to read. The only thing I knew was that it is absolutely and completely outside the genres I generally read. Why did I pick it up then? For one, I have been trying to expand my reading by getting into completely different genres. You will most likely see me reviewing a chick-lit soon! Also, I imagined this to be a ‘superhero book’ and I just couldn’t pass up that opportunity. So, here’s what I found out through this experiment. I can read genres other than fantasy / sci-fi / mystery and like them. Also, I found that this book which is suitable for 9-12 year olds to be very interesting. And lastly, this IS a book about superheroes, but not in the traditional “flying, super strength and crime fighting” sense.
